In the event of your passing, your successors are able to gain access to your crypto assets stored on your Coinmetro account. Please note, that the successor(s) will not be given direct access to the account of a deceased person for security reasons; however, Coinmetro will share all relevant information about the account and the assets stored there with the successor(s), and the successor(s) will have the right to request Coinmetro to transfer the remaining assets to them.
In order for us to do this, the administrator or executor of your estate, or your legal successor(s), will need to contact us at hello@coinmetro.com and provide us with several documents which may vary from case to case. Typically, these documents may include:
-
the death certificate
-
the will
-
ID documents of the successor(s)
-
proof of their role.
To make things easier, please let your close ones know you have a Coinmetro account and/or include details such as the email address registered to your Coinmetro account in your will.
