How to Deposit Fiat Currencies Into Your Coinmetro Account

Once your Profile Verification has been completed, you can deposit fiat currencies into your Coinmetro account with ease! Simply follow the steps outlined in this guide to start funding your account.

 

💵 How to Deposit Fiat Currencies

You can deposit fiat currencies using either the Coinmetro mobile app (recommended) or by using a web browser.

To get started, head to the deposit screen:

 

📱 Via the Coinmetro Mobile App (Recommended)

  1. From the home screen, tap on "Deposit"
  2. Select the fiat currency you wish to deposit.

  1. Select "Add Cash"
  2. Select the fiat currency you want to deposit from the dropdown menu.

Next you'll need to select your deposit method. Coinmetro supports fiat deposits for both Bank Transfers and Credit/Debit Card methods.

 

🏦 How to Deposit Fiat by Bank Transfer

📱 Option 1: Via the Coinmetro Mobile App

1. Tap on the "Bank Transfer" option,

💻 Option 2: Via Web Browser

1. From the Add Cash widget, click on "Change", and then "Bank Transfer".

2. Add your bank details by selecting "Link New IBAN" for EUR SEPA deposits, or for GBP Faster Payments deposits "Add new bank account". We need to know your details so we can match incoming funds to your Coinmetro account. Fiat deposits made to accounts where bank details have not been added will take longer to arrive.

3. You will now be presented with Coinmetro's bank details, and a compulsory reference if applicable. It is important to know that Coinmetro's bank details are different for each fiat currency bank transfer method, so make sure you check this carefully before sending your funds.

You now need to send your funds from your banking app or online banking account to these details. This information can be entered in seconds by clicking on the Copy symbol pictured below, and then by pasting the information into your banking app.

Once the payment has been sent, click on "I've Sent the Funds". The funds will arrive in your Coinmetro account within the timeframe specified on the deposit screen.

 

💳 How to Deposit Fiat Using a Credit or Debit Card

Please note that card deposits are currently only available using the Coinmetro mobile app.

1. After selecting your fiat currency, tap the "Credit Card" payment method. If you haven't made a card deposit before, you'll be prompted to add a new card. Simply enter the card details and tap "Add Card" to continue.

If you've previously deposited by card, you'll have the option to either add a new card or select a previously saved card.

2. Enter the amount you want to deposit and tap "Confirm". You'll then be redirected to our card payment processor to complete the payment.

 

Note: For additional security purposes, you may be required to enter a One-Time Password (OTP) provided by your bank to verify the transaction.

 

📱How to Deposit Fiat Using Apple Pay or Google Pay

Please note that Apple Pay or Google Pay deposits are currently only available on the Coinmetro mobile app.

1. After selecting your fiat currency, tap the "Apple Pay" or "Google Pay" payment method.

2. Enter the amount you want to deposit and tap "Confirm".

3. Follow the instructions on the Apple Pay or Google Pay pop-up to complete the payment.

Note: For additional security purposes, you may be required to enter a One-Time Password (OTP) provided by your bank to verify the transaction.

⏱️ How long does it take?

Credit or Debit Card/Apple Pay/Google Pay deposits are usually instant, but may take a few minutes to show in your account.

EUR SEPA bank transfers can take up to two business days to arrive in your account.

GBP Faster Payments bank transfers can take up to four business hours to arrive in your account.

SWIFT transfers can take up to 5 business days to arrive in your account.

USD Domestic Wire transfers usually take around 3 business days to arrive in your account.

 

👥 Can I deposit from a third party?

No, we do not accept deposits from third parties. Any deposits made in a name other than your own will be returned and will incur a 20 EUR refund fee.
