What is a Margin Call?

A Margin Call is when Coinmetro notifies users that their position has reached -80% on the Margin Platform. This is done via email.

A Margin Call happens is when the Margin Level has reached a specific level or threshold. At Coinmetro, this is when your total allocated collateral reaches 0%.

When this threshold is reached, you are in danger of the possibility of having some or all of your positions automatically closed, or “liquidated“.
