Deposit euros via bank transfer into your CoinMetro account in three easy steps.
First, ensure that you have completed your Profile Verification, as it is required to deposit fiat into your CoinMetro account. (What do I need to know about verifying my profile?).
Second, head over to your CoinMetro Dashboard, click "Deposit" and choose EUR - Bank Transfer (SEPA) from the list and be sure to Whitelist your IBAN that you will be sending funds from. We need you to enter it so that we are able to link your funds to your CoinMetro account.
Third, send us your funds from your bank account with your full name entered in the reference/description field when making the transfer.
Ensure to use the bank details provided for CoinMetro as shown on the deposit screen of your account, double checking each time you send funds. We are adding new banking partners and details may change from time to time.
Where can I send funds from?
Funds can only come from a bank account in your own name that’s within the SEPA zone. SEPA (or the Single Euro Payments Area) allows for cross-border euro bank transfers within the countries listed here. Kindly be informed that the SWIFT transfers are currently disabled for euros. We are working on a solution to have them re-enabled in the near future.
How long does it take?
If your bank supports instant SEPA transfers, we should receive your funds quite quick! Otherwise, SEPA transfers take one business day on average, sometimes two. Banking cut-off times, weekends and holidays can affect how long it takes for funds to reach us from your bank though.
If your funds haven’t arrived after two working days, please let us know and provide us with a proof of payment document that shows the following details:
- Your sending account details and account name
- The date of transfer, amount and currency
- The bank details where funds were sent
This information will allow us to double check with our Finance team and banking partner.
What are the fees?
CoinMetro charges a flat fee of 1 EUR for a SEPA deposit. We advise you to confirm with your bank about any charges on their end.
