Firstly, you will need to head over to your CoinMetro Dashboard. Then, select Deposit. Here you will be prompted to select a currency to deposit. Select the cryptocurrency you would like to receive. You can see our listed cryptocurrencies here!

Note - if you are receiving Ethereum or an ERC-20 token, it is important that you please ensure you carefully read the pop-up message (pictured below) before making a deposit using the ERC-20 method.

As CoinMetro uses smart contracts for Ethereum and ERC-20 token deposits, the amount of gas required is slightly higher than a typical transfer. To be sure that your transaction is successful, please set the transaction gas limit to 35,000 (55,000 for QNT/ETH/XCM). The fee difference is minimal. If your gas limit is too low, the transaction will simply be rejected by the Ethereum network. There is no risk for loss of assets caused by a too low gas limit.

Finally, you will be given a generated wallet address and a QR code. Simply copy the address, and paste it into the withdrawal form in your external wallet! Please note - this needs to be in your name, we can’t accept funds from third parties. Our Finance team reviews transactions once they arrive with us and occasionally, we may ask for additional verification information as we strive to remain compliant with banking regulations and standards.

CoinMetro has some of the quickest transaction times and there is no fee to deposit cryptocurrencies! Once your deposit has arrived, you will be notified via email by CoinMetro and by notification on your CoinMetro account! For more information on transaction times, click here.

As CoinMetro is a licensed and regulated exchange, you will need to ensure that you have completed your Profile Verification and address verification before you are able to deposit fiat into your CoinMetro account.

Congratulations, you have now successfully received your cryptocurrency tokens on the CoinMetro Exchange - happy trading!
